One boy. Eight psychopaths. Staying at home has never been so dangerous!
Nolan Tucker is a 17 year old Ottawa filmmaker who has a passion for independent and arthouse film. He draws inspiration from directors like Sergio Leone, David Lynch, Jean-Luc Godard, Martin Scorsese, and David Cronenberg.
His first feature film "608", premiered at the Mayfair Theatre when he was 13 years old, garnering both local and international media attention.
Restless in the Dust is his second feature, premiering at the Mayfair on the week of August 21st. Nolan emphasizes the importance of working with other local artists to make his vision come true. “I couldn’t have done this without the mentorship of Lee Demarbre and the contributions of so many amazing Ottawa artists.” The film features music from local musician Gabriel Comba, Ottawa band Quite Alright, and original score from Troy Huizinga (Satellite Birdhouse, The Escape Society). Poster art was created by local artist Lukasz Dybinski. He encourages other young people to pick up a camera and make their dreams come true as well: “You don’t need a huge budget, all you need is a group of friends, a passion, and a drive to create.”
